More...or Less...Mountains

This picture shows how far they've gotten. We're going to start taking pictures from this point...so we'll have a 'point of reference'. I won't keep posting pictures every day...but I'll just post them periodically on here.

The second picture shows them rerunning the electrical wires. The ground where the students are standing will soon be gone! :)

Hey there!
So, my friend and I are just sitting here at the computer doing a blog search on missionaries in Madagascar, cause she is thinking of going. I would like to go with her . . but am obligated to my own family and ministry . . you know. Anyway . . we would love to hear more how you started, how things are there, what you do . . .and how it is having a family there (in particular - schooling, and what do you do?) Thanks for the coffee, and pls feel free to urge my friend to get her own blog like you did. Blessing!

Well...my family goes way back as both my husband and I are missionary kids. So my story of "starting out" is a bit different than most. :) Madagascar is a lovely country, but living here certainly has it challenges. Fortunately we are not alone! It is a relatively safe country...crime rate is low...so a wonderful place to raise a family. People are very kind and generous...and some of the happiest people on earth! As for schooling -- we home school our children presently (due to furlough scheduling), but there are other options as well. There are a few English schools and plenty of French schools.

And by all means -- your friend needs a blog. :) It's very therapeutic and relaxing!

Paula, go ahead and post pictures every day......I do that with our church building....and I personally love to watch the progress. You should have seen my pictures during the months that the road in front of my house was being paved. Yes, it took months and was a terrible mess, couldn't even get my van to my house and had to leave it with friends a long block away.......well, you know Mexico gets things done but it takes a long time. Keep posting the pictures and we will keep praying for the progress.
